Really feels well made, very compact, worthwhile to read the manual, this little unit packs an amazing level of functionality in a small package.
This replaced aging 1 - amp meter, 2 - multi meter, 3 - voltage presence probe. All in one compact device!

I been using this for few years on cell towers for wsp company. Amp clamp on DC and AC accurate enough for me. Also use clamp to hold it in position on towers while I work.
I like the easy switch between AC DC voltage, no deciphering dots and lines. I've owned many meters in this price range and this is best so far, never needed high end meters. I may have replaced the leads if memory serves. Just purchased same meter 210E as backup. I can't speak for the difference of all the other models this comes in.

So I purchased this meter because I wanted a stand alone clamp meter and one that could also measure DC current. For the price I just couldn't pass it up! Although I mainly use these to measure current and not much else I have used all the other functions at one time or another and they all function as they should without much issue. The only problems I've ever really had is sometimes the auto ranging function when measuring voltage would sometimes hang up and I'd have to remove the leads from whatever source I was measure then reapply and that would normally do the trick. The leads it comes with are fairly decent and I do like the fact that the tip have sheathes on them so if you're measuring something with the 2 contacts quite close to each other the sheathes leave just the very tip of the leads exposed so that you are less likely to make the two tips contact each other and possibly short out whatever device you are working with. The one main issue I have with the meter , which is more of an annoyance, is that the back light does not stay on for long at all!! When working under a vehicles dash for example where there isn't much for ambient light, the back-lit display comes in very handy. Where it becomes aggravating is when you are in that dimly lit space and you have to set the leads down to grab the meter and hold down the button that turns the back light on, then pick the leads back up and get them positioned to whatever two points you are measuring and once you get the leads connected right where you want them you look back down at the meter to see what's on the display and what do you know, the back light has turned itself back off!! That's when I bust out my trustly Fluke 87V and turn the back light on (and it continues to stay on) and leave the Uni-T UT210E to being used mainly as a current clamp and a DMM when your go-to meter just isn't around.

Nice little amp-clamp. A bit more expensive than the AC-only ones, but I liked the idea of having DC current measuring ability, even though I'm not sure when I'll need it.

I bought this meter mainly for the DC current capability. I already have an AC clip-on current meter that works fine.

The meter appears well made and feels good and you are unlikely to accidentally drop it with it's non-slip coating on the sides.

My first application was to measure the DC current going to the HID ballast I just installed on my motorcycle. It worked fine for that.

You need to first select the current scale (20A in my case), press on the blue button to select DC (the meter defaults to AC), press the black Zero button to null the reading (more on that later), clip the meter over the wire through which flows the current you want to measure and read the display.

When the DC current scale is selected after powering the device (and before pressing the Zero button), the display indicates about 400mA. After pressing the Zero button, the display indicates zero. However, simply moving the meter around will cause the "zero" to change, depending on the orientation of the meter with respect to the earth's magnetic field. The maximum deviation I have observed is about 40mA.

So my recommendation is to zero the meter while it is in the position where you will make the measurement, or as close to it as possible, so that the "zero" does not change when you clip the meter around the wire.

As long as you do not move the meter, the "zero" seems stable, so it is actually possible to measure a DC current of a few mA, which is quite remarkable for a DC clip on meter that costs so little.

The other scales do not need the "zero" button and a cursory review indicates the meter is working as advertised.

The display is clear and well contrasted. The meter operates from two AAA batteries and the battery compartment cover is held with a screw, so you are unlikely to lose it, a good thing.

The meter ships with a transport bag that also contains the test leads, which are adequate for general electrical wiring usage, but probably a little too big for small electronic circuits.

The sensitivity to outside magnetic field seems to be the main difference with the professional grade meters that cost 5 to 10 times as much. For the home, I find that a perfectly acceptable trade-off.

Bought in 2017 to keep in a backpack and use for troubleshooting during microcontroller integration work. The DC clamp is great for settling once and for all whether current really is in the wire you think it is from the software side... if not so great for knowing exactly how much current is there: you have to zero the clamp in DC mode, and it is very sensitive to orientation.

The included leads get too stiff to use outdoors in cold weather: Silicone leads are a good idea. There is enough space in the included case to stash some essentials, like back probes and alligator clip leads. The clamp pulls double duty as a convenient way to hang the meter off something while you use the leads. The screen is easy to read on-axis, not so easy off-axis. The backlight can't be locked on and does not stay on long enough.

This meter was not even used every month, mostly living on standby, albeit in a pretty harsh backpack environment. It drew the AAA batteries down enough to make them leak, but the design of the meter meant it could be saved with some light cleaning. In 2023, the DC clamp meter settings started reading "overload" at all times. It's dead.
